We review your sponsored workforce against permit conditions, salary floors and record-keeping duties, testing pay against the route floor and PAYE records for consistency. You receive a risk-graded report and a prioritised action list that closes exposure before a WRC inspection, not after.

09Questions on file
Q01What does the audit cover?

Permit conditions, whether pay still meets the relevant salary floor, and whether you hold the records DETE and the WRC expect. You receive a graded report with actions ranked by risk.

Q02Why audit if nothing has changed?

Roles, salaries and rules drift over time, and a permit condition can quietly slip. Salary floors are indicative and can move, and a role can evolve away from what the permit names. A periodic audit catches this before an inspection does.

Q03What are inspectors most likely to find?

The two recurring findings are pay that has fallen below the permit salary, including through unpaid hours, and incomplete per-employee files. Both are avoidable and both are exactly what WRC inspectors test for.

Q04How often should we run one?

Annually is a sensible baseline, plus a check after any restructuring, pay review or change to the permit rules. A mock inspection each year keeps files current and keeps directors out of personal-liability territory.
